Surrender a Pet
If you'd like to surrender your pet to us, please understand that intake availability is based on the current health status of the animals at our adoption centers, available space, and foster capacity. Because we are a small, foster- and volunteer-run rescue, we cannot always guarantee immediate intake.

Additionally, we do not accept surrenders of cats or kittens in feral traps, nor can we accept feral cats or cats displaying significant aggressive behavior. This is for the safety of our volunteers, fosters, and the animals currently in our care.
Policy
All surrenders must be approved prior to intake. Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance, as intake is dependent on our current capacity.

If you have adopted a cat from QTee Pawsome Companions and need to return the animal within 30 days, there is no surrender fee. After 30 days, it will be considered as a surrender intake.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us and a member of our intake team will respond as soon as possible.
Fees
QTee Pawsome Companions, a.k.a. QTee Rescue, is a private nonprofit organization that receives no city, state, or federal funding. We rely entirely on donations to provide medical care, food, vaccines, deworming, and daily care for each animal.

The cost for us to care for a single cat—including vaccines, flea treatment, deworming, testing, food, litter, and medical care—adds up quickly. Surrender fees help us offset these essential costs.

The surrender donation is:
-
$200 per cat, or
-
$400 per litter

This fee may vary depending on medical conditions, age, or special needs. Payment must be made via cash or Zelle at the time of surrender; we do not accept checks. If there is a financial hardship preventing payment of the fee, please discuss this matter with us in the initial surrender inquiry.
